SD Hwy 73 CLOSED for Railroad Crossing Improvements

The railroad crossing on South Dakota Highway 73 will be CLOSED for a new rail, asphalt placement, and pavement markings starting Monday, July 14th. This project will be completed by the South Dakota Department of Transportation and RCP&E Railroad and is anticipated to take seven days to complete, weather dependent. Please use an alternate route during this time (S. Auto Avenue or Hill Top Drive crossings). Thank you.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON REQUEST FOR VARIANCE

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held at 7:15 p.m. at the regular meeting of the Philip City Council on Thursday, June 5, 2025, in the Community Room of the Haakon County Courthouse on the variance request application filed by Philip Health Services, Inc. for the property legally described as Lots 3 & 4, Block 7, Michael McLaine Addition, City of Philip, Haakon County, SD.

City Ordinance #11-601(a), Side Yard - Application has been made to occupy the required five foot (5’) side yard setback on the west side of the above property.

All interested persons may appear at the public hearing and show cause why the variance should be approved or rejected.
