City of Philip Public Service Reminder – March 18, 2020

Per the SD Dept. of Environment & Natural Resources, TOILET PAPER IS THE ONLY FLUSHABLE ITEM!

Please DO NOT flush any of the following items down the toilet as they will not dissolve in the sewer and can cause sewer backups in your home or neighborhood as well as issues with the City’s sewer system: baby wipes; adult wipes; medicated hygiene wipes; diapers; paper towels; facial tissue; floss picks; cotton swabs; cotton balls; women’s hygiene products; all-purpose cleaning wipes; facial pads; makeup remover wipes; shower body wipes; hair; condoms; band-aids; disposable toilet wand pads; gum wrappers; candy wrappers; bleach; grease; cigarettes; cat litter; etc.

Please remember, your toilet is NOT a trash can!!! Any item besides toilet paper must be disposed of in your regular household or business trash.
