Emergency Water Restrictions - Update from WRLJ
Update: Emergency Mni Wiconi Pipeline Repair – June 30, 2021 – 9:00 am CT:
The leak was found last night and a temporary repair was made. The pipe continues to leak but the temporary band has slowed the flow down some.
The water treatment plant and core pipeline have been turned back on. The areas in Lyman County that were impacted the most should be restored within the next few hours. We are starting to see pressures increase in Vivian, Presho, Kennebec and Reliance areas.
Many areas may experience cloudy colored water which is caused by air in the pipelines. It is not harmful and will work its way out eventually.
As the system recovers, please continue to conserve water.
