Notice of Public Hearing for Philip Southwest Wastewater/Utilities Improvement Project

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
for
PHILIP SOUTHWEST WASTEWATER/UTILITIES IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

The City of Philip expects to submit an application to the State of South Dakota for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in order to assist with the financing of sanitary sewer collection system improvements in the southwest portion of the community. The city expects to apply for up to $770,000 from the CDBG Community Projects Account to be used for the proposed project (wastewater, storm drainage, street, etc.) which will cost approximately $2,375,000 of which approximately $1,450,000 is sanitary sewer related.

A public hearing will be held at 4:00 p.m. MT at the Haakon County Courthouse in Philip in the Commissioner’s Room on September 26, 2017. The purpose of the hearing is to receive comments regarding the proposed project and the proposed financing. Public comments will also be taken during this public hearing for the City of Philip’s Community Development and Housing Needs Assessment Plan. The meeting is open to the public and interested persons are encouraged to attend.
