Southwest Philip Improvements & Sunshine Drive Overlay Projects - Construction Zone Safety

Thorstad Companies will be starting construction on the Southwest Philip Improvement Project on Monday, Aug. 13th. This project will be completed in the following phases.

Phase 1: W. Oak St. (from Larimer Ave. to S. West Ave.); S. Howard Ave. (from W. Oak St. to Ash St.); and, S. West Ave. (from W. Oak St. to Ash St.).

Phase 2: W. Oak St. (from S. West Ave. through Philip Ave.); S. Howard Ave. (from W. Pine St. to W. Oak St.); S. West Ave. (from W. Pine St. to W. Oak St.); and, Sunshine Drive Overlay.

For your safety & the safety of the construction workers, streets will be closed during construction hours. We do not encourage travel in the construction areas during non-construction hours. However, if you do enter the area, you do so at your own risk. We are sorry for any inconveniences but allowing the contractor to close the road will help the contractor stay on schedule and better assure everyone’s safety.
